The global logistics provider has acquired DeSpir to deepen its capabilities in high-security transport and supply-chain services.
C.H. Robinson has acquired DeSpir, a move the global logistics company says will expand its high-security logistics business. The deal adds specialised capabilities for shipments that demand elevated levels of chain-of-custody control, screening and compliance oversight.

High-security logistics covers freight movements tied to sensitive industries such as government, defence, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and critical infrastructure. Customers in these sectors require rigorous screening, vetted personnel, secure warehousing and documentation that meets strict regulatory standards. By bringing DeSpir into its network, C.H. Robinson is broadening the pool of cleared drivers, secure facilities and operational protocols it can offer shippers with these requirements.

DeSpir has built a reputation in secure transport services, including high-value, time-sensitive and controlled goods. Its operations complement C.H. Robinson's broader portfolio, which already spans truckload, intermodal, ocean and air forwarding. The move comes as freight intermediaries continue to consolidate specialised capabilities to compete for complex, compliance-heavy business.
